This clinic offers top-quality dental care. The staff are friendly, and the dentist is very knowledgeable. They use modern equipment, and the whole process was smooth. I appreciate their attention to detail and patient care.

Update - 6/10/2026 His dental work was excellent and the staff were very nice, but the response to my review was rude and unwarranted. A more professional approach would have been to acknowledge the mistakes, handle the billing issue properly, and simply be courteous. Update - 03 11 2026 Today I received a letter from Pleasant Run Dental thanking me for my payment and notifying me that my dental services were being terminated. When I first began treatment with Dr. George A. Downing Jr., we had a direct conversation about trust. I told him honestly that I generally have difficulty trusting doctors, but I understood the need to address my dental issues. He said he needed my trust in order to treat me, and I chose to extend it. I followed his treatment plan and referred both my wife and daughter to the practice. Earlier in my treatment, Dr. Downing extracted a tooth and told me to call if I had complications, even providing a phone number. When I later experienced severe pain, I called multiple times over several hours with no response. I eventually drove to the office during posted hours but found it closed, and I also called the emergency number provided. Dr. Downing later retur

10/10 absolutely recommend Dr. Downing and all of the staff at Pleasant Run Dental. Hard financial times left my teeth neglected for at least 7 years. They were beginning to deteriorate and left me so embarrassed of my smile. My root canal tooth had also broken in half. I began searching dentist offices covered by my insurance and came across Pleasant Run Dental. Reading through the reviews I found a few bad reviews, each one followed by a reply from the office. Each and every reply explaining that that's not exactly what happened and what really happened. I was cackling! I loved the energy. Lmao. Calling the office to make an appointment was so easy and the lady on the phone (Monique) was so sweet. Upon arrival to my first appointment, I was greeted by Monique who knew my name like she was expecting my arrival. Dr. Downing's assistant Amy was the next person I met and she is SUCH a pleasure! I look forward to chatting with her at every appointment. And then I met Dr. Downing. Such a down to earth person, very straight forward but not afraid to crack a joke. I am writing this review, not in regard to Dr. Downing's capabilities as a dentist, but as a disappointed person. I went to this office to be set up as a new patient as my dentist of over 30 years retired. They gave me a treatment plan that I was not interested in proceeding with. As I was leaving the office, I stopped by the reception desk to make an appointment for a yearly exam. I was told that I didn't need to make an appointment at that time. Well, today I called the office to make an appointment, only to be told that "I was dismissed from the practice". I am guessing that since I didn't want to follow their suggested treatment plan (and spend MY money) that they were not interested in having me as a patient. I think this is absolutely disgusting. A patient has the right to accept or deny treatment. Obviously, this practice is only interested in financial gain and not of accepting a person's right to make decisions on their care.

Wouldn’t recommend for my animals. Would give zero if at all possible. Was sent a bill for an appointment I cancelled due to death in my family. Was sent to collections which I just paid. Money wasn’t the issue whatsoever! I was never seen and had a death and called them. Terrible customer service skills. Very uncaring. Never even said sorry for your loss. Just so unprofessional. Have a wonderful dentist group now at west Chester advanced dentistry. They are wonderful and really care about their patients. Actually glad it worked out this way. You did me a favor. Sorry your life is so miserable that you don’t care about others. As I smile today 😊 I’m never unprofessional or rude. I didn’t make any accusations that weren’t true. I have my call log where I did call to cancel due to death. It’s a moot point now. Like I said in the end you got your money and I got a much better practice.
